Drug control laboratory, Department of Pharmaceutical chemistry and

pharmacognosy School of Pharmacy

     Since producing a pharmacist in Mongolia, drug control laboratory was established by purpose to give knowledge, ability in various methods of drug control and identify active ingredient, determine content of active composition to pharmaceutical students.

      Drug control laboratory was restructured within department of Pharmaceutical chemistry and pharmacognosy for pharmaceutical training, research and drug control by the resolution of president of Health Sciences University À/21 dated 10 February 2003.

     Laboratory staffs of drug control laboratory have academic degree in pharmacy and was prepared in appropriate level and have been working for 2-30 years at the School of Pharmacy, HSUM.  Professor Tsetsegmaa, Dean of School of Pharmacy was working as a head of drug control laboratory from 2003 to 2010.   Furthermore Dr. Kh.Daariimaa was working as a head of drug control laboratory from

2010-2012.

Drug analyser: B.Bayasgalan (Ph.D in pharmacy), Kh.Daariimaa (Ph.D in pharmacy),  D.Turtushikh (Master in pharmacy), G.Surenmandakh (Master in pharmacy)

     The drug control laboratory firstly was accredited in 2004 and it has been accredited continuously third time in 2010 and was improved ability and knowledge of staffs as well as increased capacity of equipments.

     The drug control laboratory is capable to do chemical and equipment testing such as spectrophotometer, pH meter, disintegration, dissolution test on drug preparations and a raw material of medicinal plant in pharmaceutical market of domestic and foreign manufacturers. 

     The laboratory has been conducted in associated with accreditation frame laboratory test of about 250 drug preparation such as medicinal plant, raw material of drug preparation, capsules, tablets, dragee, distilled water, injections, creams, oils for medicine, galenic preparation in a year
