RESEARCH CENTER FOR HEALTH STATISTICS AND GIS

 

Introduction 

Research center for health statistics and GIS (RCFHSAGIS) was established in 2007 with the support of the World Health Organization as the Center for Research Methodology to support the research work of graduate students and provide research methodological advice. The center is currently run by the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics of the School of Public Health. With the establishment of the Institute of Public Health at the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia, with the investment of the University of Loma Linda, USA, the center was completely renovated with the capacity to conduct research on health statistics and geographical information.

 

Goal

The purpose of the RCFHSAGIS is to contribute to public health by conducting research, training and professional activities on research work.

 

Activities

• To train, specialize and provide professional advice to teachers, researchers, graduate  students on research methods and research work
• To organize international and domestic trainings on research methodology
• Improving the quality and efficiency of research work
• Support researchers' work and train them in international publishing skills
• Provide a favorable environment for doctoral students and masters to study independently

Structure
The Research Center for health statistics and gis is a part of the Public Health Institute at Mongolian National University of Medical Sciences. It is a base for research, training and professional activities.
